Kingston police have released new images of a suspect sought in a double-murder from October 2021.
The man, who police say goes by the street name “Sophia,” is a suspect in the deaths of Carl-Alen Delphin, 20, and Nico Soubliere, 29.
The victims, both of Ottawa, were fatally shot in a Kingston parking lot on Oct. 16, 2021.
“It is believed that the parties were familiar with each other prior to that day and that the parking lot on Sydenham Road, where the murders occurred, was intended to be the site of a drug transaction,” police said in a release.
Police said they’ve recently obtained new video footage of the male suspect, who is trying to “conceal his identify by overdressing.”
He’s described as Black, 25 to 40 years old and around six foot two. Police say he weighs around 275 pounds and they don’t believe he resides in Kingston.
