Toronto police are searching for two wanted men and a woman connected to a pair of armed carjackings carried out last week in Scarborough.
On Friday, investigators were notified of a gun call in the Meadowvale Road and Sheppard Avenue East area.
Police determined that a 35-year-old man was sitting in his car in a parking lot near the Markham Road and Sheppard Avenue East area when three suspects approached him and asked to borrow booster cables.
The man told the suspects he didn’t have the cables and offered to drive them to a nearby location. Once inside the victim’s car, one of the suspects produced a gun and demanded the keys.
Police say the victim escaped with his car keys and fled the area on foot. The three suspects then got away.

A short time later, authorities responded to a robbery in the area. It’s alleged that a 27-year-old man pulled over his vehicle at a parking lot and picked up a woman for what officers called a pre-arranged meeting.
The man drove the woman and stopped at a nearby location when two men, one armed with a gun, forced their way into the backseat and demanded the car keys.
Police said the man complied, turned over his keys and got out of the vehicle. The three suspects then drove off.
Investigators are looking to identify these three people.
The two male suspects are described as approximately 20 years old. The female suspect is described as white, about 20 years old, around 5-foot-6, with a thin build and dark brown braided hair.
The stolen vehicle is a grey 2019 Honda Civic with the Ontario licence plate CCXA967.
In a separate investigation, Toronto police searched for three suspects who robbed a woman at gunpoint in a North York parking lot on Sunday.
The woman was waiting for her husband to come out of the store when three males with guns approached the vehicle and forced her out. That investigation is also ongoing.
