It’s the one time of the year that peeing in the pool isn’t frowned upon.
This Sunday, Toronto’s outdoor pools will host a dogs-only swim before closing for the season.
Now, just because a little yellow may tinge the water doesn’t mean there are no rules.
The city says adults aged 18 or older must accompany each dog and watch from the side. If the dog requires assistance, it must be removed immediately. Each adult can bring a maximum of two dogs.
Proof of rabies vaccination is also required.
No reservations are necessary, just show up and sign in. The city says spectators aged 12 or older are also welcome.
What if a doggy-paddle battle for lane space breaks out? The city says dogs displaying aggressive behaviour will be asked to towel off and head home.
