Pedestrian airlifted to hospital after being struck in Brampton

A man has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton.

Peel police say they were called to the area of Bovaird Drive and Kennedy Road just before 1:30 p.m. Friday for reports a vehicle had struck a pedestrian.

Police say an adult male was taken to a trauma centre by air ambulance.

A female driver was taken to a local hospital with undetermined injuries.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
