It is a chilly start to the first full week of October in the GTA but summer-like temperatures are expected over the next three days.
Some parts of the GTA woke up to a frost advisory on Monday morning, which Environment Canada says will also be in effect overnight and into Tuesday morning for areas like Newmarket, Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham.

However, that will all change later Tuesday as the chilly weather gives way to a warmup.
CityNews meteorologist Jill Taylor said temperatures in the low 20s are expected from Tuesday until Thursday, with plenty of sunshine on a majority of those days.
For those who love the crisp air of autumn, colder air arrives on Friday just in time for the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Good Monday morning! It’s a cool one ????Frost Advisories in place. It includes north and east GTA but warmer air is moving in. Tomorrow, Wed & Thurs near 21°C then just 12°C for High on Friday. Lots of ☀️ May not get any wet weather until Thurs night https://t.co/JIlUr9uSnN live

“We’ll get a warmup this week. Tomorrow up to 20, Wednesday and Thursday highs near 21 degrees and then a big cool down for Friday, the high only 12,” Taylor says.
“This fluctuation in temperatures at this time of year, especially the cool nights and warmer days that really help with those lovely fall colours.”
But those who don’t like the cooler weather, meteorologists are predicting a “warmer-than-normal” fall in Southern Ontario.
Ontarians can expect above seasonal temperatures until at least November. The Weather Network’s annual fall forecast outlook suggests extended periods of pleasant weather through October.
However, the meteorologists warn that much of the province could see more typical late-fall weather when November arrives, with temperatures expected to cool significantly.
