Woman in 20s seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Brampton

A woman in her 20s has serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle in Brampton on Monday evening.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at Ray Lawson Boulevard and McLaughlin Road, just north of Highway 407.
The victim was transported for a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Peel police say the vehicle involved remained on scene.
There is no word on any charges.
Roads were closed in the area for the investigation but they have since reopened.
