A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing in Toronto’s east-end on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to a gas station at Danforth Avenue and Patricia Drive, just east of Woodbine Avenue, around 4:42 a.m.
Officers located a female victim at the scene. She was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.
It is alleged a stabbing occurred following some sort of verbal argument.
Police are looking for a male suspect described as five-foot-ten with dark coloured clothing.
Danforth Avenue is closed in both directions east of Woodbine for the ongoing investigation.
Due to the ongoing police investigation and road closures, the Toronto District School Board says classes at nearby Gledhill Junior Public School are being moved to DA Morrison Middle School for the day on Wednesday.
The TDSB says Gledhill PS will be open again for students and staff on Thursday.
Due to an ongoing police investigation in the immediate area of Gledhill PS that has resulted in road closures, the school is not currently accessible. As a result, classes are being relocated to D A Morrison MS to start the day and possibly for the remainder of the day.
