Porsche stolen in armed carjacking at Scarborough gas station: Police

Toronto police are searching for a suspect following an armed carjacking in Scarborough on Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the area of Morningside Avenue and Military Trail around 9:30 p.m.

Police say a male victim was filling up his Porsche at a gas station in the area when he was approached by a suspect with a gun.

The victim gave up his keys and the suspect drove off in the vehicle.

No injuries have been reported.

No vehicle or suspects descriptions have been released.

According to Toronto police data, there have been nearly 7,400 car thefts in the city this year — a 43 per cent increase from 2021.
