Man arrested after woman stabbed in north Etobicoke park

One person is under arrest after a woman was stabbed in a north Etobicoke park early Sunday morning.

Police say they were called to the area of Mount Olive Drive and Kipling Avenue, just north of Finch Avenue West just after 3:30 a.m. following reports of a fight between a group of people in a nearby park.

When they arrived they found a woman suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to a nearby trauma centre in serious condition.

Police said Sunday morning her condition has since deteriorated to life-threatening.

Police say one man is under arrest.

The investigation is ongoing.
