Schools that were closed in the GTA because of the education workers’ strike will reopen on Tuesday, as the union said it would end the walkout after Premier Doug Ford promised to repeal a controversial law that imposed contracts on them.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE’s) Ontario School Board Council of Unions said that more than 50,000 education workers would be back at work after the walkout closed hundreds of schools.

Below are the latest updates from school boards in the GTA.
