3 suspects in custody following botched robbery attempt in west end

Three suspects are under arrest after an hours-long standoff with police following a botched robbery attempt in the west end of the city.
Police say they were called to Queenglad Pawnbrokers on Queen Street West near Gladstone Avenue around 5:15 p.m. for reports of a robbery.
When they arrived, the occupants of the business managed to make it out safely but the suspects remained inside the store. It’s unclear if they barricaded themselves or were locked inside.
A stretch of Queen Street West between Dufferin Street and Northcote Avenue was closed off as police negotiated with the suspects.
Just before 9 p.m., police said the suspects had been arrested without incident or injury.
