Toronto police say they have detained two people and are looking for two others after a Scarborough high school was put into lockdown on Thursday afternoon.
Police were called to David and Mary Thomson Collegiate, near Midland Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East, at around 1 p.m. following reports someone was in the school with a gun.
Police say they recovered a replica firearm and two people are in custody. They are also searching for two others but would not say if the individuals are affiliated with the school in any way.
Police say the lockdown has been lifted and students have been released to leave. There were no injuries reported.
A hold and secure at five nearby schools was also been lifted.
David and Mary Thomson was the scene of a fatal shooting earlier this year.
An 18-year-old was killed back on Feb. 14 in what police said was a targeted shooting.
