Police identify woman, 21, killed in ‘targeted’ shooting at Mississauga gas station

Police have identified a 21-year-old woman who was fatally shot at a gas station in Mississauga on Saturday night.

Investigators were called to a Petro-Canada in the area of Creditview and Britannia roads at around 10:40 p.m.

Police say the woman was shot “multiple times” outside the station and was pronounced dead at the scene.

She has since been identified as Pawanpreet Kaur of Brampton.

Police later confirmed that Kaur was an employee at the gas station, but it’s not year clear what led to the fatal shooting, which investigators described as “targeted.”

A suspect fled the scene on foot wearing dark clothing and gloves.

Second shooting in Mississauga on Saturday night

Police also confirmed they are investigating a second shooting from Saturday night that sent two victims to hospital.

Investigators tell CityNews they were called to the area of The Collegeway and Ridgeway Drive just before 6:30 p.m.

One victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries while another was treated for minor injuries.

No further details surrounding the incident were released and no suspect description was available at this time.
