Man, 24, charged in stabbing death of Pickering teen

A 24-year-old Pickering man has been charged in connection with the stabbing death of a 19-year-old woman earlier this month.
Durham police say they were called to a bar at 799 Park Road South in Oshawa around 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 4.
When they arrived they found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries outside the bar. She was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where she later died.
The victim has been identified as Teil-lyn Cook of Pickering.
Police have now arrested Maliek Morgan and charged him with second degree murder.
Cook is the 15th homicide victim in 2022 in Durham Region.
