Pedestrians struck waiting inside TTC shelter in Bellechasse Street area

Two female pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle while waiting in a TTC shelter on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of McCowan Road and Bellechasse Street for a collision around 3:30 p.m.
The driver remained on the scene as one woman was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries while another woman was transported to hospital as her injuries were not life threatening.
The area has been closed off northbound from McCowan Rd at St. Andrew southbound to McCowan Rd at Brimorton Dr.
