Dump truck rips down power lines in Brampton, causing outage

Several homes and businesses are without power after a dump truck crashed into hydro wires in Brampton on Monday morning.
The crash happened on Clark Boulevard between Rutherford Road and Highway 410 around 6:30 a.m.
Peel police say a dump truck with its bed raised took down the power lines.
The truck involved remained at the scene. No injuries were reported.

Nearly 600 homes and businesses in the area were temporarily without power. Police confirm the collision is what caused the outage.
Alectra says crews are working to fix the issue and they estimate everything will be restored by the end of the morning.
Clark Boulevard is closed in both directions in the area.
