Eastbound Hwy. 401 reopens in Mississauga following multi-vehicle crash

Three people are in hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga that caused major delays through the morning commute.
The collision occurred in the eastbound express lanes of the highway near Hurontario Street around 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
Paramedics confirmed two people were taken to a trauma centre in serious but stable condition. A third person suffered minor injuries.
Four vehicles were involved in the crash, including one transport truck.
The eastbound 401 express lanes are closed from east of Mississauga Road to east of Dixie as police investigate. The OPP expect the closure to last for several hours.
