Impaired driver ‘with beer in his hand’ arrested after colliding with police cruiser east of Toronto

An impaired driver was arrested and charged after he crashed his car into a police cruiser and a tractor-trailer in Clarington, Ont.
On Sunday, just after 3 a.m., officers conducting a traffic stop approached the man’s vehicle in the Clarington Concession Road 7 and Holt Road area and noticed he still had a beer in his hand. He was arrested at the scene.
No injuries were reported, and there were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time.
Durham Regional Police charged a 33-year-old man from Oshawa with operating a vehicle while impaired, among other drunk driving offences.
