The Abacus Data survey shows the Liberals with the support of 44 per cent of committed voters with the Conservatives trailing at 27 per cent and the New Democrats in third at 18 per cent.

When it comes to a regional breakdown, Justin Trudeau’s Liberals enjoy 60 per cent support in Etobicoke while he enjoys 45 per cent support in Old Toronto/East York, and 41 per cent in North York and York. The only community where the Conservatives appear competitive is Scarborough where the Liberals hold just a six point advantage.

While there has been some speculation about the possibility of an election in the coming months, most experts say it is highly unlikely, especially since the Liberals and NDP have a supply and confidence agreement through 2025.

The survey was taken between Feb. 3 to 7 involved 1,000 adults living in Toronto and has margin of error of +/- 3.1 per cent, 19 times out 20.
