Subway to close early between Osgoode and College stations starting Monday

Night owls and shift workers who rely on subway service between a key stretch of the downtown core will have to make alternate arrangements this week as the TTC announced it will be shutting down service between Osgoode and College stations early for most of the week.

Instead of the usual 2 a.m. closing time, that portion of Line 1 will close at 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday for track work.

The TTC says shuttle buses will be running with stops at each station along the route. Staff will be on-hand to help riders.

“As College Station is not yet accessible, customers travelling southbound on Line 1 who require an accessible connection should exit the train at Wellesley Station and see any TTC customer service employee for assistance,” the TTC said on its website.

“All stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card or purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes.”
