5-vehicle crash closes Hwy. 401 westbound express lanes at Trafalgar

The westbound express lanes of Highway 401 at Trafalgar Road was closed for several hours Friday due to a multi-vehicle crash.
Provincial police say five vehicles were involved including three transport trucks, one of which jackknifed and blocked access to the express lanes between Mississauga and Milton around 11 a.m.
No serious injuries have been reported.
Police say the weather is making travel treacherous at this time on all roadways.
“This is not the way we wanted to kick off March break,” said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt. “Not a good day to be out on the roads …it is absolutely a skating rink on many highways right now.”
“If you can wait until the system is done before you head out I think you’d be well served.”
