Toronto police issue warning after nails found throughout downtown playground

Toronto police have issued a public safety alert after the discovery of construction nails scattered throughout a downtown playground.

Officers were called to the playground at Kensington Community School in the College and Lippincott streets area on Thursday, April 13.

Once on scene, police found 15 used construction nails throughout the playground.

“This is a serious hazard for children playing in the park,” police said in a release.

“Parents are asked to use extreme caution when their children are playing in the park.”
