MUST-WATCH: Another film from the fast and furious family

By James Mackin

All types of families are heading to the cinema to check out the latest Fast and Furious film! But will it speed its way to the top of the MUST-WATCH? Or could it go to a remake of a ’90s classic? Perhaps an adaptation of a beloved graphic novel starring the two leads of last year’s Best Picture winner at the Oscars?

His latest film stars Joel Edgerton (from the Great Gatsby and the Underground Railroad) as another one of Schrader’s lonely men. He’s a horticulturist working on an exclusive estate, making sure all the gardens look as pristine as possible. The owner of the estate (played by Sigourney Weaver from Alien and Avatar) asks him to train her great-niece (played by Quintessa Swindell from Black Adam). The two begin to work together, and their new kinship threatens to unravel all his dark secrets. This film also stars Esai Morales (from Ozark) and Rick Cosnett (from the Flash).

One day at his high school, he’s asked to guide a new student around who’s from China. While showing him around, he learns that this new student actually comes from a different world. One in which all the major figures of Chinese mythology such as Guanyin, Shiji Niangniang and the Jade Emperor, also exist. This show also stars Michelle Yeoh (from Everything Everywhere All At Once), Ke Huy Quan (from the Goonies), and Daniel Wu (from Into the Badlands).

But after they start working on it, they realize they’ve been set up by the son of a former nemesis.
