Brampton woman dies after being found in backyard pool

Peel Regional Police say a woman who was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was found in a backyard pool in Brampton has died.
“An adult female was located with vital signs absent in a pool. Despite the best efforts of first responders, she was pronounced deceased,” police told CityNews in an update Wednesday evening.
“Due to the incident’s sensitive nature, we will not be releasing any further details until further information is received.”
Authorities were called to the home around 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday near Williams Parkway and North Park Drive.
No further details were immediately available.
