Cyclist seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in East York

A male cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in East York.

Toronto police were called to the Don Mills Road and Don Valley Parkway North area around 10:30 p.m. on Friday for reports of a collision.

A male cyclist was located and rushed to a trauma centre with serious injuries. Paramedics tell CityNews the man is in stable condition.

The driver remained at the scene.

Toronto police said southbound Don Mills is shut down at Taylor Creek Park, and one lane is open northbound on Don Mills as the investigation continues.

Delays are expected in the area until the scene is cleared.
