Woman, 72, dead after crashing vehicle into tree in Forest Hill

A woman has died in hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Midtown Toronto.
Officers responded to the collision at Spadina Road and Silverwood Avenue, south of Eglinton Avenue West, around 8 p.m. for reports of a vehicle crashing into a tree.
Police said the driver, a 72-year-old woman, lost control of her car before the crash. She was taken to a trauma centre, where she was later pronounced dead.
Traffic Services have taken over the investigation.
