Man, woman killed in crash involving motorcycle in Vaughan

Two people are dead following a serious crash involving a motorcycle in Vaughan on Tuesday night.
The two-vehicle collision between a car and motorcycle happened around 10:15 p.m. at Highway 7 and Thornhill Woods Drive.
Investigators say a blue Volkswagen sedan was travelling eastbound on Highway 7 and attempted to turn north onto Thornhill Woods when it crashed into a westbound Suzuki motorcycle.
The driver and passenger of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old man and 47-year-old woman from Vaughan, were pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The impact of the collision flipped the Volkswagen over onto its roof.
There is no word on the cause of the crash. Police are asking for any witnesses or people with dashcam footage of the area at the time of the crash to contact them.
Highway 7 was closed in the area for the investigation but roads have since reopened.
