Police charge Mississauga man with murder in death of woman

Peel Regional Police have charged a man with murder in the death of a woman found in a Mississauga home late last month.

Police responded to a medical call at a Victory Crescent and Purnell Court residence on Monday, July 31, at around 8:38 a.m.

Once on scene, they found a woman in distress. She was rushed to a trauma centre where she died.

The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Argentina Fuentas.

Police have since charged 27-year-old Nicholas Turcios of Mississauga with second-degree murder.

He’s also facing charges of carrying a concealed weapon and other bail violations.
