Scotiabank Arena has announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs pre-season game between the Leafs and Detroit Red Wings originally scheduled for Oct. 6, 2023 has been rescheduled for Oct. 5, with puck drop at 7 p.m. ET.
The change is to accommodate Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur’ Tour at Scotiabank Arena, originally scheduled for Oct. 5, that has now been rescheduled to Oct. 6. All tickets for the original date will be valid for the new date, with no action from ticket holders required.
On background, the change is simply “just to assist with show logistics” as Drake will play two nights at the venue.
The second night show will continue as scheduled on Oct. 7 starting at 8 p.m. ET.
When Drake first announced the tour in mid-March, there were no dates for Toronto included, but later the rapper added two shows to cap off the North American trip before one final show in Columbus, Ohio on Oct. 9.
The Canadian rapper is coming off two album releases in 2022, including “Honestly, Nevermind” and a collaboration album with 21 Savage, titled “Her Loss.” Both albums received mixed reviews from music critics despite performing well on the charts.
