1 dead, 1 arrested after stabbing in Toronto’s east end

A 37-year-old man is dead and another man is in custody following a stabbing in Toronto’s east end on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to an apartment building at approximately 4:44 p.m. in the area of Woodbine Avenue and O’Connor Drive after reports someone had been stabbed.

When they arrived they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to a nearby trauma centre with life-threatening injuries where he was later pronounced dead.

He has been identified as Majid Abdulaziz of Toronto.

Police arrested a suspect on the scene and have charged 34-year-old Abdelaziz Abdella Abdelaziz with first degree murder.

It’s unclear at this time what the relationship is between the victim and the suspect.
