Toronto police officer had ‘inappropriate relationship’ with community member: TPS

Toronto police laid charges against a second officer on the same day, claiming a constable engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a vulnerable community member.
It’s alleged that the relationship occurred over a two-year period. No other details were immediately provided.
A police spokesperson said 37-year-old Const. Michael Harris was arrested on Wednesday and charged with breach of trust.
Const. Harris is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16, 2023.

The accused officer of 31 Division has 14 years of police service and has been suspended with pay.
Earlier on Wednesday, Toronto police announced that a veteran officer with 22 years of service is facing charges in a fraud investigation. He, too, was suspended with pay.
