Man, 20, arrested in robbery and attempted robbery across Peel Region

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in a series of commercial robberies in Peel Region.
Authorities said on September 22, two suspects attempted to commit a robbery at a commercial business in the Mavis Road and Britannia Road West area in Mississauga.
Less than an hour later, the same two suspects are believed to be involved in another attempted robbery at a commercial business in the Southdown Road and Royal Windsor Drive area in Mississauga.
Just after 1 p.m., police said the same suspects attended a third commercial business in the Williams Parkway and Torbram Road area in Brampton, where a robbery was committed using what investigators believed to be a firearm. No injuries were reported.
Officers located one of the suspects in Georgetown, Ont., where the individual was in possession of a replica firearm and other property.
He was identified as 20-year-old Dasaun Norris of Halton Hills, Ont. He faces multiple offences, including robbery, two counts of attempting to commit an indictable offence, wearing a disguise with the intent to commit an indictable offence, and using an imitation firearm.
Norris was held for a bail hearing and appeared in court.
Police did not disclose information on a second suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
