18-year-old identified as victim in fatal west end shooting; suspects sought

A Mississauga teenager has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting in Toronto’s west end.

Emergency crews were called to Lansdowne Street between College and Bloor streets for reports of gunshots around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police confirmed a young man was found injured at the scene. Life-saving measures were performed and the victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries where he was pronounced dead.

In a release on Wednesday, investigators say the victim has been identified as 18-year-old Issaïh Jünger of Mississauga.

No suspect information has been made available.

Police are asking anyone with additional information, including people who were driving in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage, to contact them.
