Police release images of suspect in Markham gas station robbery

York Regional Police have released images of a suspect who robbed a Markham gas station at gunpoint on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the station in the Kennedy Road and 14th Avenue area at around 10:20 p.m. on February 6, after a lone suspect walked into the station’s kiosk carrying a gun.

Police say the armed man jumped over the counter and demanded cash from the frightened employee.

He eventually fled westbound with money, cigarettes and lottery tickets.

Police say no one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as 25 to 37 years old around five foot four and 180 pounds with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket with the hood up, black pants, black shoes, a black backpack and a mask fully covering his face.
