Man shot near Steeles and Weston

A man has been rushed to hospital after being found shot near Steeles Avenue West and Weston Road.

Police were called to Steeles and Signet Drive just before 4 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a shooting.

The victim, believed to be a man in his 20s, was transported to hospital via emergency run with life-threatening injuries.

An SUV was seen fleeing the scene, but no further suspect information has been released.

Signet Drive was closed as police investigate, but has since reopened.
