Man killed after being hit by tow truck in York

A 40-year-old man has died after being struck by a tow truck in York on Monday evening.

Toronto police were called to Rogers and Weston roads just before 7 p.m.

The male pedestrian was standing in the center lane on Weston Road, waiting to cross the road, when he was hit by two vehicles.

The drivers involved remained on the scene.

Officers say the investigation is ongoing, and any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is asked to contact investigators.
