Toronto will continue to see mild temperatures and lots of rainfall for the rest of the weekend.

A rainfall warning and fog advisory has ended for Toronto and the surrounding area by Sunday night, but the city is still feeling some of the impacts.

The weather alert was issued for the city and much of the GTHA around 5 p.m. on Saturday, calling for localized floods in low-lying areas.

Environment Canada says the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

The TTC says due to flooding affecting bus bays at Warden Station, multiple bus routes are utilizing alternate platforms.

Similar rainfall warnings were in place for Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Burlington, Oakville, Halton Hills and Hamilton, among other local regions.

There are also fog advisories in certain areas as Environment Canada warns of near-zero visibility.

“Patchy dense fog has developed and will persist into the morning hours.”

Although much of the heavy rain has passed, possible flurries and strong gusty winds will continue through the week, beginning on Monday as the temperature begins to drop.
