Florida man wanted for criminal harassment dating back to 2021 believed to be in Toronto area

A man from Florida is wanted for criminal harassment after he allegedly began messaging a victim in 2021 in persistent pursuit of a relationship and arrived in Canada in 2024.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) said communication began in 2021 despite the victim asking the accused to stop. It’s alleged that in August 2024, the complainant reported repeated unwanted communications from the accused, who resides in Florida.
Police said the man entered Canada in August and, just last month, allegedly messaged the victim, indicating he was outside her Etobicoke apartment in the Dundas Street West and Bloor Street West area. Days ago, police said the accused attempted to access the victim’s building.
The man was identified as 39-year-old Talha Sakrani of Florida. He is described as having a thin build and slicked-back black hair.
Police said the suspect is believed to be in the Toronto area, and if anyone knows his whereabouts, they are asked to contact the authorities.
