Man critically injured in multi-vehicle Brampton crash

A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police were called to the McVean Drive and Countryside Drive area, near Goreway Road and Mayfield Road, just before 5 p.m. on Thursday following reports of a collision involving a pickup truck and vehicle.

One man was rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition, police said.

It’s unclear if the other driver was injured or if there were any passengers in either vehicle.

The Major Collision Bureau has taken over the investigation.

Police said the roadway reopened at around 1 a.m.
