1 man dead in Burlington shooting: police
Halton police say they are investigating a fatal shooting at the Burlington Centre mall after shots were fired Monday night.

Halton police say they are investigating a fatal shooting at the Burlington Centre mall after shots were fired Monday night.
The incident occurred at the parking lot of 777 Guelph Line shortly after 10 p.m., according to police.
Officers say the victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators have identified the victim as Omer Niaz Muhammad, 24, of Burlington.
Police say they are searching for two suspects who fled in a white SUV.
“Investigators believe this was a targeted incident with no known risk to public safety,” Halton police wrote in a statement Tuesday morning.
This is Halton Region’s first murder of the year.
