Can Laser Comb Grow Hair?

It’s a tad ironic – a comb for baldness.
The seemingly strange combination could possibly be a solution for men who feel self-conscious about their lack of hair.
A special and expensive laser comb called the Hairmax has been approved by Health Canada and by the U.S. government to treat hair loss. The device costs $600.
After trying other treatments to start sprouting some follicles Brian Whiten is willing to give the gadget a try. He says he went completely bald by the age of 19 and the hair loss has bothered him ever since.
“I tried Rogaine, but I was paying $40 a month to keep my own hair,” he explained, adding he’s not completely sold on the laser comb.
“I’m a little pessimistic, but it’s worth the challenge.”
Hair transplant specialist Dr. Martin Unger is a little more confident in the comb’s potential.
“There’s absolutely no doubt that low level laser does prevent hair loss and re-grows hair in men and women,” he said.
CityNews is giving Whiten a Hairmax to use for the next several weeks. As the guidelines suggest, he’ll use it three times a week for 15 minutes each time.
Health Specialist Laura DiBattista will be checking in on his progress in mid-April to see if the interesting device actually lives up to its claim.
