Part of Bloor West Village evacuated after gas leak

Crews successfully capped a gas leak in Bloor West Village after a line ruptured Thursday morning.

It happened around 11 a.m. on Bloor Street West, near Windermere Avenue.

Officers evacuated businesses and shut down the street from a block east at Runnymede Road. The area reopened just before 1:30 p.m.

The area is currently under construction.
