A 64-year-old man is dead in what the OPP are calling an “apparent drowning” at a York Region beach.
The man was found Saturday evening, floating face-down 30 metres from shore at Sibbald Point Provincial Park, in Georgina, Ontario.
He was pulled from the water and given CPR by a doctor and off-duty nurse but could not be revived.
The OPP say they are waiting for the results of a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
The man’s identity has yet to be released.
