Van Bursts Into Flames: Belonged To Off Duty Police Officer

Early Saturday morning, an off-duty police officer was involved in a terrifying crash.

Just before 2am, a taxi allegedly ran a red light near Jane and Eglinton. The cab struck the officer’s van, which careened into a tree.

The vehicle immediately burst into flames. What’s left of it is pictured above.

Emergency crews quickly arrived to douse the fire, and the man escaped with only minor injuries.
