Man charged after father, son found dead in Barrie home

By The Canadian Press

Police have charged a 24-year-old man with two counts of first-degree murder in the beating deaths of a father and his teen son in Barrie.

They say they’re investigating the deaths of the men, whose bodies were found in a home on Wednesday morning, as a double homicide.

Investigators say the bodies were found with “obvious signs of trauma” just before 3:30 a.m.

Police say the investigation is still active and they’re still trying to locate other people who may have been involved.

They say autopsies on the victims – a 51-year-old man and his 19-year-old son – are scheduled for Friday.
