Flyers’ JVR out indefinitely with a concussion

Philadelphia Flyers forward James van Riemsdyk will be out indefinitely with a concussion.
In the Flyers previous two games, the 22-year suffered blows to the head and on Friday he told the team he wasn’t feeling well.
“James was hit in the head in each of our last two games,” Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said prior to the team’s pre-game skate Saturday in Nashville. “He reported yesterday, not feeling like himself. He will be out indefinitely with a concussion.”
The second-overall pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft is the latest on a long list of NHLers that have suffered concussions this season. He is the fourth Flyer to suffer a concussion this campaign.
Forwards Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier suffered concussions in December but have since returned to the lineup. Flyers captain Chris Pronger suffered a concussion in November and has been shut down for the entire season with severe post-concussion syndrome.
In 37 games this season van Riemsdyk has 11 goals and 11 assists. The Flyers have won four of their past five games and visit the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
