SIU probes Richmond Hill shooting

The province’s Special Investigations Unit is probing a shooting early Saturday in Richmond Hill.

It happened around 7 a.m. on Palmer Avenue, a residential street near Major MacKenzie Drive East and Bayview Avenue.

A man was taken to Sunnybrook hospital in life-threatening condition.

The SIU is an arm’s length agency which investigates cases involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
