Hold and secures in place at several Mississauga schools and day cares have been lifted following a knife investigation.
Peel regional police were investigating reports of a man seen with a large knife near Fieldgate Drive and Bloor Street.
The hold and secures went into effect around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and were lifted around 12:40 p.m. after police determined there was no threat.
A man was later taken into custody at a different location, but police wouldn’t confirm if a weapon was retrieved.
