A dispute over a parking spot outside a Walmart in Brampton has sent one man to hospital.
Peel police say they responded to a report of a group of men fighting in the area of Bovaird Drive and Hurontario Street just before 6 p.m. on Sunday.
A 51-year-old man suffered a cut to his leg. Police are not sure whether the injury was made with a key or a small knife.
Paramedics transported the victim to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers are looking for the suspect, a 37-year-old man, who fled the scene following the incident.
Peel Police Const. Sarah Patten told 680NEWS she understands how stressful looking for a parking space can be this time of year.
“It’s unfortunate in circumstances like this, around the holidays when everyone is getting stressed out and amped-up, it being so close to Christmas and the parking lots are obviously very jammed, very busy this time of year. So when you are looking for a parking space, I understand how stressful it can be.”
