Kanye West, Rihanna, Radiohead Amongst Acts Coming To Toronto

Kanye West, Rihanna, John Mayer, and Radiohead will be amongst the acts coming to Toronto for concerts this year.

They’re part of the Molson Amphitheatre’s 2008 summer lineup, released Tuesday.

The season kicks off with the arrival of Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West, who brings his Glow In The Dark Tour to town on May 21. He’ll be joined on stage by fellow acts Rihanna, N.E.R.D. and Lupe Fiasco.

A week later, rock legend Eric Clapton plays a show at the venue on May 27, with special guest Steve Winwood. Meanwhile, Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant will play a show with Alison Krauss following their musical partnership on the T Bone Burnett-produced album Raising Sand. A date for that concert hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Amongst the other musical acts playing the Amphitheatre in the summer – REM on June 8, John Mayer on July 7, and Radiohead on August 15. Radiohead made a splash this year with their critically acclaimed In Rainbows disc, which they sold online as a pay-what-you-can download.
